Newsletter
First of all, be sure to sign up
for the newsletter. Nobody is going to spam you, we don't sell
this info, but it is a great way to find out about your community,
special deals that we've worked out, special night-out coupons, and
a way to learn about upcoming events, as well as what's new here on
SardisRoads.com.
Expect a newsletter every couple of
weeks or so, and if you decide you don't want it, just opt
out. We use the number one rated anti-spam newsletter provider
in the nation.
Billboards
Be sure to check out the billboards
and post comments, questions, ads, and just voice your opinion
here. Ask questions of political leaders and we will try to get them
answered for you. Let your community know if
you are holding a garage sale, selling a car, furniture, or
whatever. Look for a babysitter, post your job offerings here
and your resume. If you want to get the word out, need to know
something, or just want to gripe, here's a place to do it.
Just keep it clean and respectful. Kids are here too.
Above all, participate. You
can say what you want and still be anonymous if you choose.
Chat
Yep, SardisRoads has live
chat. Get the kids involved so that you know neighbors and
friends are also keeping an eye on what's going on. Go to
established rooms, create your own temporary room, or make a private
room for you and a few friends.
Restaurants
Although already comprehensive,
look for new info on restaurants. Tired of going to the same
old places? Look for something new here and keep your money
working locally. When we support our local businesses, we
support our neighbors. We want businesses to be successful
here. When they are, our property is in demand and property
values go up. When we don't and buildings board up, it does
not give a good impression of the area.
Especially look for local
restaurant coupons here. Print 'em, cut 'em and save some
money while getting out of your rut.
Our Heroes
Be sure to check in on the Our
Heroes section and if you have someone who lives here who is part of
our armed forces, a police officer, a fireman, or a teacher, help us
honor our own. They deserve it. And remember, when
holidays are approaching, those who are far away miss home the
most. If addresses are available, jot them a note, send a
card, or write a letter to say thanks.
Become Involved
Charlotte and Mecklenburg County
have much to offer, most of which you might never guess is close at
hand. Check out our resources
page, info about traffic, parks,
the community calendar, and learn who represents you in
office. You cannot effectively vote if you don't know the
candidates. Look for position statements from each as well as
all those who make it through the primaries.
