To
the residents of the Sardis Roads Area -
Charlotte NC:
Greetings to the residents of “SardisRoads” neighborhoods! Thank you for what you are doing to bring neighborhoods together to improve the quality of life for fellow residents. Your willingness to organize and seek ways to build on common interests and the common good should be commended. As former residents of the Oak Creek Estates subdivision off Sardis Road, for 15 years, my family and I enjoyed the pleasure of living near many of you.
Congratulations on your website, as well. This, surely, will prove to be a very useful way to communicate with others about what is so attractive and meaningful about living in your community. And, thank you for making our government readily accessible to your neighbors.
In my role as one of your at-large members and vice chairperson of the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners, I welcome your ideas about how we might be attentive and responsive to your issues, concerns and needs. You may be interested to know that some of my top concerns are quality public education, economic opportunities and development, health and human services, environmental protection, our libraries and parks. I am committed to working closely with my colleagues on the BOCC, with other elected bodies, non-profits and interested citizens to improve the quality of life for all of us. Please know how much we need and value your contributions.
Thank you for all you do to make Mecklenburg County “the county of choice” for all of us and for a growing number of new residents.
