Greetings!
As Mayor, I want to extend congratulations on the opening of the Sardis Roads website. Community involvement and vibrant neighborhoods have fueled Charlotte’s high quality of life. I commend any effort that strengthens neighborhoods and I applaud the efforts to continue communications throughout the Sardis Roads area.
Charlotte has all the positive factors to make living in the City truly enjoyable and memorable. It is a community highlighted with tree lined neighborhoods, parks, museums, theaters, restaurants and clubs. We have a bustling Uptown, a thriving arts community, and a fantastic reputation for amateur and professional sports. The City is fast growing, dynamic, and innovative and this website is just one of the ways you can get connected with neighbors who live nearby to chat, visit bulletin boards for information about what is happening in your area, volunteer in the community and work with others to develop events in your neighborhood.
I want to encourage you to work with the Police through Community Oriented Policing and Neighborhood Watch programs to better assist your neighbors in watching out for each other.

About Mayor Patrick McCrory:
In December 2003, Mayor
McCrory became the first to serve a fifth term as mayor of
the City of Charlotte. Prior to that, Mayor McCrory
along with former mayors Stan Brookshire and John Belk,
Sr. were the only mayors to serve four terms.
Mayor McCrory began his political career in Charlotte in
1989 when he was elected as an At-Large City Council
representative in his first run for an elected office. He
was reelected in both 1991 and 1993, serving as Mayor Pro
Tem in 1993 until he became Mayor in 1995
