Slightly over 106 acres, Davie Park is one of Charlotte's finest parks. Amenities include facilities for basketball, softball, soccer, volleyball, horseshoes, and hopscotch. There are also kids playgrounds, a lake, an outdoor and indoor shelter, and plenty of walking trails. The shelters are also available for rent and have a surprisingly open schedule. The indoor shelter is ideal for wedding receptions, church functions, family reunions, etc. With a capacity of up to 250 people, the indoor shelter has some surprising amenities for something found in a park. Lights, water, power, restrooms, grill, air conditioning/heat, and kitchen are all yours at no extra charge. County residents can rent the facility for under $250 for weekdays and under $500 per day for weekend days and holidays. You won't find a better bargain anywhere in Charlotte.
